Natalie Koldaro is a Graduate Clinical Counseling Intern at Washington Psychological Wellness and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling at New York University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida and is dedicated to expanding her clinical expertise by integrating cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and person-centered approaches in her work. Natalie is deeply committed to multicultural competence, ensuring her therapeutic practice is inclusive, respectful, and responsive to each client’s unique cultural background. Her passion for social justice informs her clinical perspective, driving her to address systemic inequalities and advocate for underserved and marginalized communities in the mental health field.
As a first-generation college graduate, Natalie brings valuable insight into the challenges faced by individuals navigating unfamiliar systems. This lived experience enhances her empathetic, culturally sensitive approach and strengthens her ability to connect meaningfully with clients from diverse backgrounds. She has a particular passion for working with children and adolescents, creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where young clients feel heard, supported, and empowered.
Natalie places great importance on the therapeutic alliance, believing that a trusting, collaborative relationship is essential to the healing process. She is dedicated to building meaningful connections that foster emotional well-being and personal growth in her clients.
Outside of her clinical work, Natalie enjoys hiking, painting, cooking, and caring for her cat. She values self-care and creative expression as essential components of overall mental health and well-being.
