She is passionate about working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples from diverse backgrounds and identities. Lydia supports clients navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, stress and burnout, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and relationship stressors. She especially enjoys helping couples improve communication, strengthen connection, and navigate relational challenges in a supportive and collaborative environment.
When working with children and adolescents, Lydia values collaborating closely with caregivers to support growth both inside and outside of sessions. She strives to create an inclusive, culturally sensitive, and affirming therapeutic environment where clients feel safe showing up as their authentic selves.
Lydia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Vermont and her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. During her graduate training, she completed internships providing counseling services in both private practice and high school settings. Her professional background also includes experience as a paraeducator, dance instructor, and early childhood assistant teacher, which further informs her compassionate, creative, and developmentally attuned approach to care.
