Client Care Coordinator

Kathy Steinel is one of the friendly voices on the other end of the phone when you call Washington Psychological Wellness. As one of Washington Psychological Wellness Client Care Coordinators, Kathy handles client phone calls and emails, scheduling, insurance inquiries, and other administrative matters such as client forms, paperwork, and general questions.

Kathy has been in the medical field for almost two decades, starting as a volunteer EMT in her home city in New Jersey. Through her volunteer work, Kathy was offered a position as a physician scribe at a local inner-city Emergency Room. This hospital provided both psychiatric services and an extensive drug rehabilitation program. During her medical journey, Kathy has been employed as an administrator, pharmacy technician, and home health aide. Kathy is a hard worker and prides herself on structure and detail. 

At home, Kathy is a wife with three children, one son and two girls. Her youngest was born in August 2022. Kathy and her children enjoy outdoor activities, like hiking and fishing, as well as avid swimmers. In addition, Kathy and her family have a small farm with hens, a rooster, ducks, rabbits, and a large vegetable garden. This is all tended to by three generations of women; Kathy’s mother, herself, and her daughters. On the rare occasion that Kathy is not working or tending to the farm, she enjoys reading any good book.
