Graduate Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern

Ericka has been helping and educating children and their families for over 18 years as an elementary school teacher which led her to counseling. Ericka’s compassionate and nurturing nature helps to create a therapeutic atmosphere that is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. She plans to cultivate a space of healing and growth for all clients.

Ericka hopes to work with children, adolescents, and adults in all stages of life. However, she recognizes the importance of approaching each client’s treatment in an individualized and unique way that meets their needs.   

Ericka will use several therapeutic interventions, including CBT, Strength- Based Therapy, Person-Center Therapy, and a little humor, to help her clients develop tools to increase their self-awareness, learn coping strategies, and set healthy boundaries.   

Ericka earned her Bachelor’s in Visual Art and Design from Albright College and her Teaching Certification from Moravian University. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hood College, where she has obtained her certification in Thanatology, the study of death and loss. Ericka is passionate about supporting clients experiencing grief across their lifespan and navigating difficult life transitions.
