Dianisha is a dedicated clinical mental health counselor specializing in trauma, grief and women’s mental health. She has a Clinical Mental Health master’s degree from Hood College and a certification in trauma, crisis, grief and loss. She possesses a passion for healing through creativity, and combines evidence-based therapeutic approaches with expressive arts to support individuals navigating mental illness, trauma, and loss—including reproductive and familial grief.
Dianisha brings a rich background in both counseling and the arts. She has provided therapeutic services in outpatient and crisis settings. Her clinical work integrates trauma-informed care, multicultural competency, and affirming support for marginalized communities, including BIPOC and LGBTGEQIAP+ individuals.
As a trained Military Assistance Provider, ASIST-certified interventionist, and member of multiple professional organizations—including ACA, MCA, and Counselors for Social Justice—Dianisha advocates for mental health equity and social justice. Her academic work has been featured at major conferences, with research focusing on reducing traumatic births and leveraging technology for client engagement.
In addition to her counseling practice, Dianisha has led therapeutic art programs in long-term care facilities and maintains a deep interest in the healing power of creativity. She is committed to cultivating empathy, empowerment, and resilience in all her work.
