Vashti Gold, M.A.

Registered Psychology Associate

“Your past can explain your patterns without deciding your future; together, we can turn understanding into change.”

ABOUT Vashti Gold

Vashti offers compassionate, individualized therapy to adults. She welcomes clients who feel caught in familiar emotional or relationship patterns, are carrying shame or guilt, or are trying to find their footing during a time of change.

Her style is warm, collaborative, practical, and direct. Originally from Toronto, she brings a multicultural perspective and values understanding each person’s identity, background, and experiences. She creates space for honest conversations without pressure or judgment, helping clients explore what matters to them and take manageable steps forward.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Vashti is a Maryland Registered Psychology Associate with more than six years of experience in mental and behavioral health. Her background includes outpatient therapy, telehealth, behavioral coaching, clinical interviewing, and assessment-informed care.

She has supported culturally diverse and neurodivergent clients, including adults navigating autism-related needs, executive-function challenges, and difficulties managing emotions. Her experience collaborating with families, caregivers, prescribers, and community providers informs her attention to the support and circumstances surrounding each client.

CLINICAL FOCUS

Vashti supports adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, stress, life transitions, and family conflict. She helps clients understand recurring patterns, develop coping skills, strengthen boundaries, and build more satisfying connections.

Her approach draws from humanistic therapy, CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), ACT, and trauma-informed care, with family systems and Gottman-informed strategies when helpful. She balances deeper exploration with practical tools, tailoring therapy to each client’s strengths, needs, and goals.
