ABOUT Taylor Pinthiere

Taylor (she/her) is a Graduate Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern at Washington Psychological Wellness who works with clients of all ages and families. She creates a warm, welcoming space where clients can feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves. She views each client as the expert on their own life and approaches their experiences with curiosity, compassion, and collaboration.

Taylor is committed to affirming BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ clients and honoring differences in culture, identity, and life experience. She works alongside clients and families to explore what matters to them, recognize their strengths, and move toward meaningful growth at their own pace.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Taylor’s experience includes serving as a Call Specialist with the Mental Health Association of Frederick County, where she provides support through the 988 and 211 phone lines. Her work includes crisis intervention, suicide prevention, emotional support, and connecting callers with community resources. These experiences have strengthened her ability to remain calm, compassionate, and attentive during moments of distress.

As a Graduate Assistant at McDaniel College, Taylor also collaborates with campus partners and student leaders to coordinate programs that support student engagement and well-being. Across her roles, she values thoughtful communication, active listening, and helping people feel connected to support.

CLINICAL FOCUS

Taylor supports clients navigating anxiety, depression, emotional distress, developmental disabilities, identity exploration, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions. Her approach is integrative, drawing from person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and Gestalt techniques to meet each client’s needs.

She helps clients deepen self-understanding, build coping skills, and explore patterns in their thoughts, feelings, and relationships. Her work remains collaborative and grounded in respect for each client’s goals, strengths, and lived experience.
