ABOUT Nakesha White

Nakesha (she/her) works with adolescents, adults, couples, and families at Washington Psychological Wellness. She creates a warm, culturally sensitive space where clients can feel accepted, heard, and comfortable being themselves. She affirms LGBTQ+ clients and respects the identities, backgrounds, and life experiences each person brings to therapy.

Nakesha believes a strong therapeutic relationship begins with trust and understanding. She takes time to learn what matters to each client and works collaboratively to explore challenges, recognize strengths, and move toward meaningful change.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Nakesha’s experience includes providing individual, group, and family therapy in community mental health settings. Her work has included intake and diagnostic assessments, crisis intervention, safety planning, and connecting clients with additional services and community resources.

Through her clinical work, Nakesha has supported people navigating a range of emotional and relationship concerns. She values thoughtful assessment and collaboration to understand each client’s needs and develop an approach that supports their goals.

CLINICAL FOCUS

Nakesha supports clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Her approach is integrative, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), play therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and talk therapy as appropriate.

She helps clients better understand their thoughts, feelings, and relationship patterns while developing practical coping tools for everyday life. Her style balances compassionate support with opportunities to build confidence, strengthen communication, and make meaningful changes.
