“Your experiences matter, and healing can look different for everyone. We’ll find an approach that fits you.”

ABOUT Brittany Turner

Brittany (she/her) supports adolescents and young adults at Washington Psychological Wellness as they navigate trauma, life’s challenges, and the process of building confidence. She creates a warm, supportive space where clients can feel respected, understood, and comfortable being themselves.

Brittany recognizes that healing looks different for each person. She takes time to understand each client’s experiences, strengths, and goals, tailoring therapy to their needs and celebrating growth along the way.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Brittany’s experience spans school, clinical, and community settings, including supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Her work has included individual counseling, intake assessments, crisis intervention, and helping students navigate emotional, behavioral, social, and academic challenges.

She has also collaborated with families and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and advocate for children and individuals with developmental disabilities. These experiences inform her attention to each client’s developmental needs, relationships, and support systems.

CLINICAL FOCUS

Brittany helps clients navigate the emotional, physical, and relational effects of trauma and stress. She supports clients in strengthening emotional regulation, developing coping skills, building self-confidence, and exploring healthier ways to connect with others.

Her approach is person-centered and integrative, drawing from trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. She may also incorporate play, art, and somatic techniques according to each client’s age, comfort, and needs. Throughout therapy, she balances practical tools with a compassionate relationship that allows clients to move at their own pace.
