ABOUT Brandon Jackson-Mills

Brandon helps clients at Washington Psychological Wellness work toward their mental wellness goals through a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental approach. He creates a supportive space where clients can reflect openly, feel understood, and develop greater confidence in themselves and their relationships.

Brandon values each client’s experiences, strengths, and perspective. His background growing up in a military family and participating in team sports informs his appreciation for different cultures, connection, and shared goals. He works alongside clients to build self-understanding and pursue meaningful growth and a more fulfilling life.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Brandon’s experience includes child and family therapy, psychiatric care, residential support, and community-based services. He has worked with individuals across ages and socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, including adolescents navigating trauma and behavioral challenges.

His work has also included case management, vocational support, life skills development, and program management in a semi-independent living setting. Through community outreach and youth sports programming, he has helped young people build skills, strengthen connections, and work toward personal goals. These experiences inform his understanding of how relationships, daily circumstances, and access to support influence well-being.

CLINICAL FOCUS

Brandon helps clients navigate emotional and behavioral challenges, strengthen interpersonal relationships, and develop communication and coping skills. He places particular value on building strong rapport so clients can feel comfortable exploring their experiences and considering new ways forward.

His approach draws from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and strengths-based perspectives. He helps clients recognize connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, explore their motivation for change, and identify practical steps that align with their priorities.
