Abigael Ciociola, LCSW-C

Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical

“I want therapy to feel like a supportive place where you can explore what is hard, recognize your strengths, and work toward your goals.”

ABOUT Abigael Ciociola

Abigael is a licensed clinical social worker who offers a warm, nonjudgmental space for clients to speak openly and feel understood. She works with children, adolescents, adults, and families, with a strong background in supporting young people.

She combines compassionate listening with practical skills for everyday life. Together, Abigael and her clients work on building coping strategies, setting boundaries, strengthening relationships, and pursuing goals that matter to them.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Abigael’s background includes individual, group, and family therapy in residential treatment, special education, and private practice settings. She has supported children and adolescents facing significant emotional and behavioral challenges, helping them develop social skills and manage emotions.

Her work includes collaborating with families, teachers, psychiatrists, and other providers to coordinate care. Training in Cornell’s Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and the CARE model informs her approach to responding to distress and creating supportive environments for young people.

CLINICAL FOCUS

Abigael supports clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and difficulties with emotional regulation. She draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-focused interventions.

Her approach makes room for both understanding past experiences and developing tools for present challenges. She tailors care to each client’s developmental needs, strengths, and goals, helping them reframe unhelpful thoughts and practice new ways of responding to difficult situations.
