Graduate Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern
Brittany is a Graduate Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern at Washington Psychological Wellness. She embraces a person-centered approach, fostering collaboration and valuing each client as the expert of their own life.
With a deep respect for individual experiences, Brittany prioritizes empowerment and a strong therapeutic alliance to support personal growth. She does this by using an integrative method tailored to each client’s unique needs. Her background as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), along with training in crisis intervention and trauma, informs her compassionate and skillful approach. She is currently pursuing a certificate in Trauma, Crisis, Grief, and Loss and is committed to providing sensitive and effective care during life’s most difficult moments.
She combines relational and contextual therapeutic techniques with cognitive and emotional processing strategies, ensuring flexible, culturally responsive, and individualized treatment. This is rooted in her belief that therapy should provide an empathetic and nonjudgemental space for self-discovery, healing and working towards goals.
Brittany holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Hood College and is set to earn her master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling, along with her specialized certificate, in May 2026.
