Brandon Jackson-Mills, LMSW, is a mental health therapist and a licensed master social worker passionate about helping community members fulfill their mental wellness goals. Brandon received his Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, and his Master’s of Social Work from The Catholic University of America.
Brandon has extensive clinical experience working with individuals of various ages, socioeconomic, ethnic/cultural, and religious backgrounds. Brandon’s clinical experiences include work as a psychiatric technician working primarily with adolescent males with a history of sexual trauma and aggression. Brandon also worked for The Latin American Youth Center, where he worked as an event coordinator, vocational trainer, and life skills coordinator. Additionally, Brandon’s experience includes working as a social worker and program manager for a semi-independent living program in Prince George’s (PG) County, Maryland.
Brandon’s collegiate and early work history enabled him to specialize in interpersonal relationships and the communication skills needed to help him develop a strong rapport with his prospective clients. He concentrated his education in the areas of Cognitive Behavioral Training (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), which he often pairs during treatment. Additionally, Brandon’s history as a military youth and a multi-sport athlete allowed him to work with various multicultural groups and within a team, goal-driven atmosphere. Brandon desires to create a safe, non-judgmental arena where clients can gain reflective self-knowledge and begin a journey towards growth and ultimate life satisfaction.
