Abigael Ciociola, LMSW, is a licensed master social worker who enjoys helping others achieve their goals. Abigael has experience working with children, adolescents, teens, and families. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2019 from Loyola University Maryland. She then attended The Catholic University of America, where she earned her Master’s in Social Work. Abigael became a member of the Pi Gamma Mu International Honors Society in Social Sciences while obtaining her Master’s degree. 

Abigael completed her Master’s degree internship at a residential treatment center for children and adolescents. She has experience working as a school therapist in a Level 5 school. Abigael is trained in The Cornell University Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI). Abigael uses the CARE model; a principal based program that motivates children and adults to follow routine, structure, and other processes while reducing the risk for conflict. 

Abigael seeks to use a variety of clinical techniques including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, solution focused approaches, and trauma focused interventions. Abigael creates a supportive, open, and non-judgmental environment for her clients. She helps clients develop coping strategies, set boundaries, reframe negative thoughts, and work to achieve their goals.
