Taylor Pinthiere

Graduate Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern

Taylor believes that meaningful therapy begins with feeling genuinely seen, heard, and understood. As a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern at Washington Psychological Wellness, she strives to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where clients of all ages can feel comfortable exploring life's challenges and building on their strengths.

Taylor is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at McDaniel College, where she also earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in American Sign Language Studies. She works with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional distress, life transitions, developmental disabilities, self-esteem concerns, and identity exploration. Taylor is particularly passionate about supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, including members of the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities.

Through her work with the Mental Health Association's 988 Crisis Hotline, Taylor has gained experience providing crisis intervention, suicide prevention support, and compassionate care during some of life's most difficult moments. These experiences have strengthened her ability to meet clients with empathy, authenticity, and calm support.

Taylor takes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from person-centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Gestalt techniques. She values collaboration and believes each client is the expert on their own life. Her goal is to help clients gain insight, develop practical coping skills, strengthen relationships, and move toward a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
