Clinical Psychology Doctoral Extern
Reagan Foley is a Doctoral Clinical Psychology Extern currently pursuing her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School in Washington, D.C., an APA-accredited doctoral program. She provides therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults, with a particular passion for supporting young people as they navigate emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges.
Reagan earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Human Development from Virginia Tech. She has experience providing therapy services, conducting intake assessments, participating in psychological testing and assessment, and supporting individuals in both clinical and crisis settings. Her background in both clinical work and research allows her to bring a thoughtful, evidence-based, and compassionate approach to therapy.
Reagan works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, stress, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, and relationship concerns. She especially enjoys helping children and adolescents manage school-related stress, emotional regulation difficulties, social challenges, and confidence-building. Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and personalized to each client’s unique needs. She primarily draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and person-centered approaches while also incorporating psychodynamic, humanistic, and family systems perspectives.
Reagan understands that starting therapy can sometimes feel overwhelming for both clients and parents. She strives to create a supportive, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe being themselves, openly exploring their experiences, and building meaningful coping skills they can use in everyday life. Clients and families often appreciate her calming presence, approachable nature, and ability to balance empathy with goal-oriented support and lasting growth.
